4-Season Yarn

We instantly fell in love with this super soft and stretchy Viscose yarn. Not only did we love the way it held an intricate rib texture, but we knew this was a yarn that we could use throughout the year. Viscose is a cellulose fiber, meaning it is plant-based, which makes it more breathable and very soft on the skin. Our yarn has a touch of stretch which also helps to maintain the structure of the garment.

Lyocell & Tencel

They are actually the same thing! Tencel is the trademarked name for lyocell and the name is owned by Lenzing, an Austrian company. (Very similar to Kleenex being a brand of tissues ;) Lyocell is another cellulose fiber, created from beech trees. It is considered to be one of the most environmentally sustainable fibers because it is manufactured using a closed-loop process that reduces energy and water usage. In addition, beech trees are quick to regenerate and use 10-20 times less water to grow than cotton. Not to mention, it is very soft and silk-like, with a beautiful drape and sheen.
